The Puig Vela Clàssica Barcelona regatta returns this year for its XVII Edition, from September 4th to 7th, marking an unforgettable event as part of the America’s Cup calendar, with Puig as the Global Sponsor of the 37th edition. This year’s regatta promises a unique spectacle, with an unprecedented number of over 60 boats from around the globe competing, setting a record and ensuring a remarkable edition.

Puig Vela Clàssica Barcelona regatta highlights the synergy between classic maritime heritage and modern sailing excellence inside the America’s Cup calendar.

This year, the renowned fleet of classic boats will sail past Barcelona's iconic skyline alongside the AC40 and AC75, showcasing the speedy, cutting-edge technology of the America’s Cup. Additionally, the legendary 12M JI class, which competed in this prestigious trophy from 1958 to 1987, will make a special appearance. These captivating classic sailboats were last seen in Barcelona in 2014 during the World Championship organized by Puig to celebrate its 100th anniversary.

September will begin with an exceptional nautical spectacle as the Barcelona coast hosts both classic and modern sailboats, such as the Maxi Yachts and the competitive Smeralda 888, which will also hold their own races off the city’s shoreline. This exciting lead-up culminates in Puig’s historic celebration of the first women's regatta in the history of the America’s Cup: the Puig Women’s America’s Cup.
